RMS Employee Spotlight: Immanuel Jones

At Regenerative Medicine Solutions, we believe in the value of the collective, as well as the individual, so from time to time we like to take a moment to honor and highlight our newest and most promising additions. Recently we sat down with the newest member of our Creative Team, Graphic Designer Immanuel Jones for a brief interview.

So Immanuel, tell me about yourself.

My name is Immanuel Jones and I’m a graphic designer for Regenerative Medicine Solutions. In college my major was Art Studio Design with a minor in Art History. I’m the type of person who believes life is an adventure, so I try to live it up as much as I can. Skydiving, bungee jumping, things like that. I’m super hard on myself about every single thing, but I’m considered to be an outgoing, nice guy. I like making people smile.

How did you find RMS?

Long story short — my friend was getting his doctorate at [the University of South Florida] and after I quit my job because of a surgery, my friend told me to come down to Tampa and look for work. I flew down, applied like crazy and was excited when RMS offered me the job because they seemed like a great company.

What is your position, and what does it entail?

I am a graphic designer, and over the two months I’ve been here, I’ve created blog post images, flyers, directions, PowerPoint slides and helped my coworkers with other big projects. Anything that comes to design I help with.

What was the biggest surprise you found when you started with RMS?

The biggest surprise I’ve found at RMS is how much I have to learn about graphic design. I’ve definitely learned there are so many ways to become more efficient in my work. I’ve learned simple things like short-cut commands to complete my work faster and different processes to make images look better and more visually appealing. There’s a huge difference in being a student graphic designer and a professional graphic designer; it’s almost similar to saying I’m a singer and I’m a professional singer.

What have you learned since starting at RMS?

Design can truly be done anywhere.

What is your favorite thing about working for RMS?

The environment and how well the company takes care of us. There are always group events, happy-hours or some other form of socializing together. My creative team is awesome. Out of any job I’ve had, this is definitely the best creative team I’ve ever worked with.

And what do you like to do outside of work?

Outside of work I’m a semi-professional dancer. I also play soccer and basketball.

What kind of dance?

I’m a hip-hop, animation, freestyler.

What does that mean?

What do you mean?

It means creating illusions with your body. I’ve been dancing for about eight years now.

And you said you play soccer?

Yeah, I’ve been playing soccer since freshman year of high school. That’s a late time to become a sports athlete, but all I wanted to do was to be a college level sports athlete. I worked hard and was able to play for my college. That’s what it goes back to. I’m hard hard on myself. I believe that when you really want to do something, you’ll do anything to get it and that’s what I did.
