Patrons and staff may be tempted to cheat or steal, either in collusion or independently, and most casinos have measures to prevent this. For example, many casinos use video cameras to monitor all transactions; some use electronic systems that track the amount of money wagered on each bet minute by minute and warn the dealer immediately of any deviation from expected results; and roulette wheels are electronically monitored to detect bias.
